Giving Day contributions of every size make a major difference! Support Environmental Sciences and Geology today or give to another area that helps the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
- Ready! Set! Give! On Giving Day, once 15 donors make a gift to any Environmental Sciences and Geology fund, a generous $5,000 gift from Marion Ringe β70, M.A. β77 will be unlocked!
In Environmental Sciences and Geology, we aim to understand the earth, its complex ecosystems and the environmental issues it faces. This might mean looking at rocks, atmosphere, landscapes, plants and animals to discover more about patterns and processes and learn how they affect modern environmental and ecological systems. As students and scholars, our goal is to solve modern environmental problems and learn more about the interactions of organisms, including humans, on environmental systems.
- Field trips and field work excursions for our students are a crucial part of their education. Your gift to the John M. Zawiskie Memorial Endowed Support Fund helps ensure that generations of students will have access to these hands-on learning opportunities.
- Gifts supporting the Environmental Sciences and Geology Department Annual Fund help provide department-specific resources. These include expanding the departmentβs ability to support a wide range of experiential learning opportunities, paid internships, awards for student travel to professional conferences, departmental events and programs, funding for student and faculty research, and more.
- The David J. Lowrie Geology Mineral Museum is an amazing resource for our students and local community. Support the David J. Lowrie Geology Mineral Museum Fund today.
