The Wayne State University American Chemical Society-Student Affiliates (WSU ACS-SA) is the vibrant Chemistry Club at Wayne State University, proudly part of the American Chemical Society (ACS). Founded in 1943, our chapter not only offers members diverse opportunities such as symposiums, mixers, and professional networking but also stands out as one of 48 chapters internationally recognized with the top distinction.
Every year, we send students to the ACS Spring National Conference to present their research and participate in student chapter activities and the award ceremony. This year, WSU ACS-SA will receive our second consecutive “Outstanding Student Chapter” award and will be sending 11 students to the national conference. 9 students will be presenting their own personal research projects, and 2 additional board members will also be attending. We will be participating in the Chem DEMO exchange and the successful student chapter symposium to represent our school and our chapter! This is an experience of a lifetime for undergraduate students, and it will give us valuable experience as we continue our science careers!
We are looking for support with lodging, conference registration, flights for presenters and experiment materials.
