The School of Social Work's 90th Anniversary serves as a Call to Action for all of us to remember why we became social workers. Anticipating difficult days ahead for the most vulnerable among us, we're inviting our community to stand with us as we focus on three core priorities: Strengthening our Macro Practice Concentration, Replenishing Critical Funding for Students and Protecting the Core Values of our Profession.
Replenishing Critical Funding for Students is a critical call to action this Giving Tuesday. Last year, we proudly funded 166 students with $2.1 million in training grants, breaking down financial barriers and expanding access to hands-on learning. But due to federal cuts those resources are dwindling and many training opportunities have been eliminated. However, the need continues, and prospective social workers will lose options.
Your gift today on Giving Tuesday will help ensure every future social worker has the support they need to thrive for the next 90 years.
