General Scholarship Fund

First-generation college students, aspiring scholars and working professionals build successful futures through access to a world-class education at Wayne State. Scholarship funds provide the critical support many students need to enroll in Wayne State degree programs — and to remain at Wayne State until they graduate. Students who leave college before completing their degrees cite needing to work as the primary reason, and a majority say greater financial assistance would have made the biggest difference in completing their studies. Your gift to the General Scholarship Fund will help students access the resources they need to finish their degrees.
President's Enhancement Fund
The President's Enhancement Fund is used at the discretion of the president to fund strategic initiatives that further Wayne State's mission. Your gift today will help fuel our collective impact on Wayne State's future!
Student Emergency Fund
The Student Emergency Fund provides short-term financial assistance to help cover essential expenses for Wayne State students facing temporary hardship due to an unexpected situation — such as emergency medical care or a death in the family. The funds are awarded to students in increments between $50 and $1,000 based on need and availability of funding.
WSU Food Pantry
The W Food Pantry provides currently enrolled Wayne State students in need of food assistance with supplemental food and additional resources to enhance student success. Additional items such as toiletries and feminine hygiene items help reduce other barriers to student success. The pantry is able to provide these resources to students at no cost, thanks to generous donors.
