Medical Alumni Annual Fund

Double your impact! The School of Medicine Board of Governors is providing a dollar-for-dollar match for gifts to the Medical Alumni Annual Fund – up to $85,000!

The Medical Alumni Annual Fund (MAAF) supports an ambitious array of programs and resources designed to enrich and expand unique learning experiences for students in the School of Medicine. Contributions to the MAAF have a direct and immediate impact on our students' academic success and professional growth.

School of Medicine Scholarship Fund

Increase your impact! Piero Simone, M.D. ’95 and Lucy Simone are providing a 2-to-1 match for Giving Day gifts to the School of Medicine Scholarship Fund – up to $25,000!

The School of Medicine Scholarship Fund provides critical financial support to medical students, helping reduce the burden of tuition and allowing them to focus on their education and training. Many of these funds are made possible through the generosity of alumni and donors who are passionate about investing in the next generation of physicians.

Gifts to the Scholarship Fund have an immediate and lasting impact by expanding access to medical education and empowering students to serve patients with compassion and excellence. Donor support helps attract and retain outstanding students, many of whom go on to practice in underserved communities, advancing the School of Medicine’s mission to improve health outcomes locally and beyond.

White Coat Sponsorship Program

Support a time-honored tradition by sponsoring a white coat for an incoming member of the Wayne State University School of Medicine’s Class of 2029. Acceptance of a white coat represents the commitment that each physician-in-training makes to practice compassionate, patient-centric medical care. It also serves as a reminder of the ideals that set all Warrior M.D.s apart: the privilege of medical education comes with the responsibility of service to the community.

W Food Pantry - Opens New Satellite Location

The W Food Pantry opened April 2017 to assist currently enrolled Wayne State Warriors in need of food assistance with supplemental food and additional resources to enhance student success. To increase accessibility and as a direct response to student needs, the W Food Pantry has opened its first satellite location at the Wayne State University School of Medicine, making food and personal hygiene items available to all graduate students, medical students and students in the Graduate Certificate Program in Premedical Studies. Support the W Food Pantry today.
