Detroit Radio Information Service (DRIS)
On Wayne Stateβs Giving Day, show your support for the Detroit Radio Information Service.
The Detroit Radio Information Service is a service provided by WDET, Detroit's Public Radio Station, for visually impaired individuals as well as those who may be experiencing feelings of isolation. DRIS offers a simple method of accessing printed and visual news and information published in daily, weekly, and monthly periodicals with volunteer readers. DRIS volunteers also read papers such as the Michigan Chronicle, the Jewish News and EL CENTRAL (Spanish language). DRIS has a book club to further support those who want to connect with their community. A donation of any amount during Giving Day will support DRIS in sourcing new receivers, expanding its network with organizations, and investing in programming that bridges the gaps society often forgets.
Your generosity will help fund the 8,760 hours of news and information programming that DRIS airs annually.
Achieve your charitable goals and create your WSU legacy with a gift in your estate plan.
Wayne State faculty and staff can give via payroll deduction here.
