Founded in 1949 by the UAW as the local voice for labor, WDET has served as a cultural asset for the city of Detroit and Southeast Michigan for the last 75 years. Every day, WDET does the best possible job in bringing you radio that’s informative, enjoyable, and community driven. Whether it be through local news coverage or highlighting the best Detroit music, WDET works tirelessly to ensure our communities are represented on the air and that those who call Detroit home feel connected to the wealth of culture and community we have here in Southeast Michigan.
In turn, we ask that you invest in WDET and support the programming you rely on. With 50 percent of our annual operating budget coming from listeners like you, your involvement and contribution today is a vital investment in ensuring our community has the resources they need to navigate the world today.
