Giving Day contributions of every size make a major difference! Support Junior Year in Munich by making a recurring gift this giving day!

Junior Year in Munich (JYM)

JYMers are a special group. They are students who go the extra mile--actually an extra 5000 miles!--to study abroad for an extended period of time. They continue their study of the German language. They take courses at the Junior Year in Munich institute in the Richard-Wagnerstraße. They enroll in courses at the Ludwig Maximilian University. They participate in internships. While our students travel, often extensively, JYM is not a “vacation” program. Rather, we give our participants the opportunity to set and achieve personal, academic, and professional goals, and the latter often include continued engagement with German language and culture. This is the case with Bridget, a 2021-2022 JYM alum, who had an internship while she was participating in JYM, graduated from American University, and is now working for Lufthansa. Bridget’s experiences were made possible by your generous scholarship support.

This Giving Day, we’d like to encourage you to give throughout the year by making a recurring gift of $10 per month to your favorite JYM fund*! Your support will help students like Bridget to benefit personally, academically, and professionally from their time abroad.
