Giving Day contributions of every size make a major difference! Support the Center for Urban Studies today.
Center for Urban Studies
Since 1967, the center has been committed to serving Detroit and its metropolitan area by conducting and disseminating research, developing policies and programs, and providing training, capacity-building, and technical assistance. Through these approaches, the center participates in defining and influencing local, regional, state, and national urban policy. Often, the center collaborates with WSU faculty to combine their substantive expertise with the methodological skills of center staff. We also work closely with community organizations and local governments to answer key questions about the metropolitan area and about policy or organizational issues.
Overdose Prevention
The STOP team trains community members in overdose rescue strategies and distributes Overdose Rescue Kits containing Narcan, a life-saving nasal spray that quickly reverses opioid overdose. Together, we will stop overdose deaths and other harms resulting from opioid misuse.
Our work is made possible by the support of many partners and generous funders, including individual donations from community members like you. Gifts of all sizes are valuable and help us to expand our research and community outreach.
Achieve your charitable goals and create your WSU legacy with a gift in your estate plan.
Wayne State faculty and staff can give via payroll deduction here.
