The Wayne State University softball program is stepping up to the plate for its annual Home Run Derby on Friday, Oct. 23, at Gary L. Bryce Field.
This year’s Warriors will compete in three teams, with donors helping their favorite student-athletes earn an advantage at the plate. Each student-athlete begins with 10 swings. For every $20 raised above their individual goal, they’ll earn an additional ball — and if that ball leaves the park, it counts as two home runs toward their team’s total.
Your support goes beyond the competition. Gifts to Wayne State softball help provide resources for team travel, including hotels, transportation and meals, as well as uniforms, equipment and team-building experiences.

How the competition works
Donors may support any Home Run Derby team and designate their gift in honor of a specific student-athlete during checkout.
