Help the Wayne State University Library system bring Dolly Parton's Imagination Library to Detroit.
The program will provide literacy materials to families within the Detroit community and the Library System will provide free programming and information to promote literacy in the Detroit area. This project aims to strengthen the WSU connection with the Detroit community through literacy.
Dolly Parton's Imagination Library supports early childhood literacy by offering enrolled children ages 0 - 5 one age appropriate book each month delivered to their door at no cost to the family. A $25 donation covers one child for one full year-- that's 12 books!
Enrollment will begin with children 0-5 in zip codes 48201 and 48202 with plans of expansion as the program continues.
