Thank you for joining us as an Advocate. You already helped us raise over $15,000 before Giving Day even started. That only happened because you showed up and started sharing early. Now that Giving Day is here, let's finish what we started together – let's finish WarriorStrong! 💪
âś… Your Giving Day To-Do List:
- Send a text to 10 friends: “Wayne State’s Giving Day is here! Join me in supporting <<insert your favorite initiative and Advocate link here>>.”
- Post about Giving Day on LinkedIn: Share what you support and why, along with your Advocate link. (LinkedIn is an easy win for boosting engagement with your link!)
- Look for others’ posts about Giving Day across all social media channels and drop a comment about why you support Giving Day along with your Advocate link. (Hint: Search #GiveGreenBeGold, Wayne State and WSU to find WSU-affiliated accounts)
- Share a post or reel from @WayneStateAlum in your Instagram stories, tag a friend (or 10) and ask them to share and/or give. Don’t forget to include your Advocate link.
- Forward a Giving Day email to 10 friends and/or colleagues, adding your own message encouraging them to support Giving Day and including your Advocate link – or draft your own Giving Day email from scratch. (Check out the resources below for tips.)

đź–Ą Hang Out at Giving Day Command Central:
Join us, virtually, at Giving Day Command Central! We'll be here on Giving Day, April 9, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. to celebrate successes, answer your questions, help with the website, etc. We'd also love to hear about your most creative ideas for sharing your link! (You shouldn't need a passcode to join, but just in case, it's GD10).
🏆 Prizes:
In honor of our 10th Giving Day, we challenge you to recruit 10 donors using your unique link! Our top three Advocates* will win prizes from Wayne State and some of our community partners like Detroit City Football Club and Atwater Brewery.
*To keep things equitable, WSU faculty and staff will be excluded from winning our "Top Three Advocates" prizes. However, all WSU faculty and staff members who recruit 10 or more donors via their Advocate link will receive a prize.

1. Log in to your account by clicking “Login” in the top right corner of the Giving Day homepage.
2. Click any of the Social links or the “Copy to Share” button on the Giving Day homepage and begin sharing your Advocate link via social media, email, text, etc. And don't forget to make your own gift through your Advocate link too!
First-time Advocate? Signing Up is Easy!
1. Click Sign Up in the top right corner of the screen and follow the instructions to create your GiveCampus account. Check your email and click the link in the confirmation email to complete your sign-up. (Hint: Check your spam and/or promotions folders if you don’t see it in your inbox!)
2. Now that you’ve signed up and you’re logged in, click any of the Social links or the “Copy to Share” button on the Giving Day homepage and begin sharing your Advocate link via social media, email, text, etc. And don't forget to make your own gift through your Advocate link too!
