Step up to the plate at Comerica Park
The Wayne State University baseball program is swinging for the fences at its seventh annual Home Run Derby Fundraiser on Monday, September 14, at Comerica Park!
The action begins at 7 p.m., and admission is free. Spectators may enter through Meijer Gate D beginning at 6 p.m., with Comerica Park concessions available throughout the evening.
During the derby, teams will send a designated hitter to the plate with one goal: launch as many home runs as possible in 60 seconds. But supporters can help keep their favorite team in the batter’s box even longer. For every additional $25 pledged, a team will receive two more seconds of hitting time.
In a competition where every swing — and every second — counts, your support could make the difference between a warning-track fly ball and a championship-winning home run.
All proceeds will directly support Wayne State baseball and help fund the team’s greatest priorities. The team of players that raises the most money and the team that hits the most home runs also will earn special rewards.
Choose your team, add time to the clock and help the Warriors knock this fundraiser out of the park!
